Games/Stories I've Created

  • I have experience with creating a board game in which the concept had themes of family dynamics mixed with eldritch like creatures if things were to go wrong. The name is a work in progress still currently, but I am very happy with how it is shaping up so far.

Mini-Proposal

Game Title: Seven Days Home

Tagline: Most people love their family, right? You love spending time around them, love doing activities with them, etc. Well, what if the family you know and love starts to change right in front of your very eyes?

Concept Statement: A nuclear style family tries to maintain their sanity as they may or may not slowly transform into eldritch-like creatures depending on their sanity level at the end of seven days. Depending on your choices, you might just make it to the end of this nightmare.

Description: With this game I wanted to actively try to make the player slowly feel uncomfortable as the game goes on. I tend to try to achieve this game through the nuclear family dynamic that is introduced as the game will start off with just a normal family going throughout their everyday life, but it will then slowly become more and more of that horror aspect that I want to also portray. Players will try to maintain a sanity meter that they need to keep up with otherwise their player-character will slowly lose his mind and see his/her reality and family around him change in front of him/her. Minigames and everyday life around them will slowly drain this meter as time goes on and they traverse the house and suburban neighborhood area near them.

Trading Cards:

Description: I think that the Fears to Fathom franchise is the best example of a good psychological horror game that I would have to compete with, but I plan to beat them at their own game by going in a bit of a different direction than them with the nuclear family dynamic which I think people will appreciate and will give me an edge over their games.
